From Residence Life and Housing: the winter-break-doorhanger-2016 will be placed on all resident students’ doors to alert them to proper closing procedures for the Winter Break. Please be sure your Deac is aware of these important instructions.

Fraternity & Sorority Life Updates:

It's almost time for our formal recruitment processes. Registration for the Panhellenic Council has already closed.  Registration for Interfraternity Council Recruitment opened on Thursday, December 1 and closes on Tuesday, January 10.  The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) does not have a structured process; please contact our office with any questions regarding a particular chapter.

In order to join a fraternity or sorority, all students will need to complete 12 credit hours in college (credits from AP/IB will not count) and have a 2.5 grade point average.  Grade verifications for Panhellenic recruitment will be the week of December 20th; checks for Interfraternity Council recruitment will be done before orientation on January 12th.  All NPHC aspirants will be reviewed based upon the organization's intake dates. If your student does not meet either of these requirements, they may submit an appeal for review here: Academic Appeal for Fraternity & Sorority Life.  Please note that this appeal can only be submitted by the student.

Have questions about fraternity and sorority life?  Unsure what to expect in recruitment?  Join us for one of our Family Webinars: Wednesday, December 14 at 5:30 pm or Thursday, January 12 at 1:00 pm.

Campus Safety

During the winter break each year, Wake Forest students’ off-campus residences near Wake Forest have experienced, historically, a spike in the occurrence of break-ins and property thefts. Recently, Residence Life and Housing sent several security-related tips to students who live off campus to help reduce the potential for such incidents at their residences.

Did you know you can sign up to receive crime alerts from Wake Ready when they are published?  Emails would be sent daily at noon, but only if new updates have been posted in the previous 24 hours.
